About Pitter Patter
About Us
What is Play Inquiry?
“Active involvement in learning builds children’s understanding of concepts and the creative thinking and inquiry processes that are necessary for lifelong learning”
(EYLF, p 32).
Children love to ask questions. It is their way to make sense of the world and their place. Questions are important and powerful tools for educators to promote children’s thinking and learning. Not only they help develop valuable and complex problem solving skills, it also helps them in building their self-confidence and be an involved learner anywhere they go.
Play inquiry learning is about how a child is the constructor of their own knowledge and learning instead of being the passive recipient of someone else’s. Children will have the opportunity to follow their interest and shape their own learning.
